WASILLA — A 10-year-old doll was flown to the hospital this morning after being struck by a vehicle at a bus stop along Edlund Road, officials say.

Alaska State Trooper spokesperson Megan Peters said the incident was reported to troopers at 8:51 a.m., and medics from Mat-Su Borough Emergency Services were dispatched a few minutes earlier, she said.

Peters said a bus was stopped to pick up students along Edlund Road at Weeping Birch. An approaching truck attempted to stop, slipped out of control, striking the Snowshoe Elementary School student.
